Jon Hallquist is a retired theatre professor who specialized in acting, directing, theatre history, and dramatic literature. In addition to teaching classes and directing plays, Hallquist also occasionally adapted or updated classic texts for production. After retiring, he began writing original contemporary plays, as well as mystery novels that feature former private detective Kate Isaksson. Hallquist currently lives in Tennessee with his loving spouse, their faithful dog, and a wonderful extended family.
