After traveling to Nashville, she inadvertently gets drawn into a world of deceit, corruption, and murder when she agrees to help a local man find his missing brother. Ultimately, a decapitated, mutilated body is discovered, turning dysfunctional family members and co-workers into challenging, potential suspects. Refusing to rest until the truth is revealed, Kate carefully weaves her way through various prominent Middle Tennessee attractions, encountering numerous, colorful Southern characters along the way. Despite several wrong assumptions and disappointing dead-ends, Kate eventually confronts the killer in a dangerous showdown.
