"Otero builds us a post-apocalyptic future in which long-lived Ronins patrol in Combines to protect the underground city of Gomorrah where humanity was forced to rebuild for survival. Once giant creatures begin to lurk too close to home, Ronin Laird must brave Earth's surface with others like him and combat horrors no ones ever seen. I couldn't help but play this book in my head like a horror/anime of epic proportions. If you're at all a fan of military sci-fi horror / mechs and anime / monsters of cosmic and eldritch origins, then you're going to want to pick this up!
