Lawrence Miller is an IT Security consultant who uses his frequent work travel to do paranormal research. Or, you know, crawl around dark places and poke at restless dead things. But he’s taking a break from the paranormal in New Orleans, famously haunted and infested by creatures walking the line between living and dead. Believe it or not, this isn’t his worst idea ever. Missing children, bayou monsters and a rich history of every possible reason for evil things to haunt the dark compete with the celebratory energy of New Orleans and almost enough pubs.

Lawrence Miller hunts ghosts. Not professionally, because the pay is awful. When asked to investigate a famously-haunted hotel room in Austin, Texas, he jumps at the chance. As he explores the history of the hotel, his encounters in the room become increasingly violent. Can he resolve the trauma trapping the ghosts in Room 318 before they kill again?
