Gizmo has no tail and no wag. He decides he is tired of being different and feeling left out. He goes to Yellowstone where he knows he can talk to lots of wildlife and ask them for help in his quest to find the perfect tail with the perfect wag. Gizmo visits five National Parks in six different states. He sees lots of animals and learns some funny and interesting history along the way. He learns about the "crazy" discovery of Yellowstone, the melting glaciers in Montana, Bigfoot, Lewis and Clark and their very brave guide dog named Seaman. Gizmo wants to be brave like Seaman but when it's time to face his own fears, Gizmo doesn't feel very brave at all.

Gizmo is a huge baseball fan and excited to go to his first game. He is even more excited to meet the team's mascot, Chico, a little dog too. Gizmo gets sidetracked, and the day does not go as planned.
