King Jonathan Archer defeated the ancient king and reigned supreme over all humans in Galaxy 12. He married a noblewoman from each conquered star nation to unite the people into one nation. Rebel leaders rose from the conquered, gathered in the shadows, and cultivated hatred and revenge against this new king. The Zorlon High Council became outraged at King Zigmarra's decision to abolish the Traditions of Fathers and his decree that Zorlon females now had the right to choose their mates.

Five superior star nations struggled for dominance over their galaxy, unaware a more significant threat punctured the fabric of space and entered from a parallel universe. This new threat had a name: the Cepha. They conquered entire galaxies, consumed and exploited worlds, and enslaved sentient beings. Humans, Kazarians, Zorlons, and the other minor star nations' only chance of survival against the Cepha was to forget their differences and stand together.

The First Galactic War resulted in an uneasy truce. Queen Divisha en Kazar vowed to eradicate all humans from the face of the Universe. During her preparations to launch a second war, two hidden star nations appeared from the opposite side of the galaxy. Will they become Kazarian allies or enemies? The Cepha crushed the Rukka revolt but were delayed by a damaged portal gate. Hive Master Balador and his armies, inside one hundred thousand caladons, advanced to Galaxy 12.
