Lucifer's plan for saving the world requires three key components: my power, the nexus, and the stone. We only have the first . . . and absolutely no idea where the other two might be hiding. But it all still just feels empty. After last month's disaster, the members of Team Six abandoned Guild Headquarters, leaving me alone to deal with the crippling shame for my part in the events that night. The members of Six and I have been separated with no concrete way of getting back to each other. But even if I could find a way back to them, I'm not entirely sure that I want to. While hell demons are certainly awful, the monster raging inside of me is proving to be just as haunting.

When Headmistress Alleva arrives on campus, my life at Headquarters is thrown upside down. After sightings of werewolves close to Guild boundaries have everyone up in arms, recruits are thrust into apprenticeships with prominent teams to help move along graduation rates and get them into the field as soon as possible.
