Robert Adams, MD, MBA, has lived a life defined by service, discipline, and resilience. A former U.S. Navy SEAL, Dr. Adams spent 14 years in the Navy—12 of them in the SEAL Teams— before continuing his military career with 18 years in the U.S. Army. He ultimately served as Command Surgeon for the Army’s elite Delta Force and deployed to Iraq with the 82nd Airborne Division. A third-generation graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Dr. Adams made an uncommon and courageous decision: he left the SEAL Teams to pursue medicine, entering medical school on an Army scholarship and becoming a physician at the age of forty. Over a career spanning more than 35 years in family medicine, he has delivered babies, treated trauma and disease, cared for military families, and served soldiers in both war and peace. His work offers a rare, firsthand perspective on human endurance, sacrifice, leadership, and survival. Today, those experiences shape his writing.
