Mike Mongo, Astronaut Teacher, is an author and commercial astronaut who has spent nearly two decades making space exploration feel personal, possible, and exciting for kids everywhere. Based in Cape Canaveral, Florida, his enthusiasm for the cosmos is genuinely contagious. His newest book, Mike Mongo's KID Astronaut Training Manual (Fair Share Publishing, 2026), is the first book written for students who want to go to space as KID Astronauts today, building on concepts like "MEarth," "Earthlight," and "All Space is Local Space." He serves on the Students for the Exploration of Space (SEDS) Board of Advisors, co-founded Yuri's Night Space Coast at Kennedy Space Center, and in 2022 was selected by Uplift Aerospace as part of the first Web3 commercial astronaut crew. He has given TEDx Talks on AI and human collaboration. At the heart of everything Mike does is a belief he shares with Teacher-Astronaut Christa McAuliffe: "Space is for Everybody!"
