Marvin Rolnick was born in Brooklyn, NY, and moved to Long Beach, Long Island, at the age of five. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era, and after his discharge, he relocated to Los Angeles. With over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, he conducted numerous safe money investment workshops and co-hosted a live radio talk show called Senior Talk, on 870 AM in the late 1990s. Now retired, Marvin splits his time between Leisure World in Southern California, where he stays with his brother, and the San Gabriel Valley, where he lives with his wife and three cats. His last screenplay was written in 1976, but after many years away from writing, he rekindled his passion during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Marvin primarily writes psychological, philosophical, spiritual and humorous poetry, blending entertainment with rhyme. Since his poetry carries a sermon-like feel, he refers to his style as Sermon Rap.
