Lea Appleton is a Wayfinding Guide and professional certified coach who helps people follow the paths that are calling and the practice of paying attention to what longs to be lived. A former higher-education leader with more than two decades building communities across difference and a outdoor industry veteran, Lea brings credible, grounded guidance to the terrain of life's transitions. She is the founder of Wild Wayfinding, a coaching, consulting, and guided-experience practice. She is a contract coach with BetterUp and Spring Health, and along with her private clients, has coached more than 400 clients across 22 countries and six continents. Walking & Wayfinding is her Amazon #1 bestseller in Walking. Outside of her practice, Lea tends a vegetable garden, photographs what catches her eye on the trail, and hikes the local mountains with intention. She holds an MA in Music and an MDiv, along with the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential from the International Coaching Federation and is a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC). She's also recently been certified as a Leave No Trace Instructor to support others in their adventures outdoors. She lives in California with her husband Billy and has three adult children.
