Lana Stasek is a Ukrainian-born author and independent publisher who deconstructs the architecture of family trauma with surgical precision and a heavy dose of irony. Now based in the United States, she has turned the "inherited silence" of her past into a series of raw, narrative non-fiction works that refuse to offer comfort. Her Voices Within series—including Family Chronicles, Life Before and After, and the novel Bella: Beyond the Bark—operates as a psychological autopsy of the patterns we carry. Each title in the series is a standalone work; they are not linked by a linear plot and can be read or listened to in any order. While the series is rooted in narrative non-fiction, "Bella: Beyond the Bark" takes the form of a novel based on true events, offering a different lens through which to view the same gritty, systemic logic of our pasts. Lana doesn’t write "heroic" memoirs or self-help fluff. Instead, she provides a mirror—a chance for listeners to recognize the pitfalls in their own lives by watching her navigate hers with brutal honesty and sharp, dark humor. Lana is currently preparing a major new release for Fall 2026, continuing her deep dive into the cycles that shape us and the ways we can finally see them for what they are.
