Professor Laars Head is a writer and criminologist whose work explores the intersections of history, psychology, and unsolved crime. Educated at leading universities in Britain, France, and the United States, he has pursued advanced study in criminology and nineteenth-century cultural history. His research often returns to the Whitechapel murders, examining their place within broader patterns of Victorian urban life, criminality, and social anxiety. Drawing on extensive archival enquiry and theoretical perspectives from criminology, his work offers new ways to understand one of history’s most enduring enigmas. He lives in London, where he enjoys long walks, cryptic crosswords, and being fictional.
