Hi, I’m Micky. I’m the founder of Japan Life Coach and a sales executive with over 30 years of frontline experience building business with Japanese clients and Japan-based teams. I’ve worked across global organizations and complex accounts where trust, timing, and relationships decide outcomes, and where “great meetings” don’t always turn into real progress. I was born and raised in Japan, and alongside my corporate career I raised three children in Tokyo. I know the reality of balancing quarterly targets, client dinners, and international travel with school events, sick days, homework, and the everyday logistics of home life. While working professionally, I also earned a master’s degree in International Business through McGill’s program in Tokyo alongside other working professionals. It strengthened the strategic lens behind what I was living day to day in real roles and real meetings. At the core of everything I write is something simple: I love Japan and deeply respect the Japanese people. I believe you can do business with respect, build trust the right way, and still protect your energy and your life. My second book, Women Who Win Business in Japan, will be released soon. My work focuses on practical strategies that fit how Japan does business today. I hope you find these books practical, supportive, and enjoyable to read. I truly enjoyed creating them.
