Faron Connelly is a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, rural property owner, author, and publisher with a lifelong interest in self-reliance, gardening, land stewardship, and emergency preparedness. After serving six years in the Coast Guard as a Radioman, Faron developed a practical approach to problem-solving, planning, and preparedness that continues to influence his work today. Over the years, he has written on topics ranging from vegetable gardening and self-sufficiency to rural property ownership and wildfire readiness. Living in Central Oregon, Faron understands both the rewards and responsibilities of owning acreage in wildfire-prone landscapes. Through his books and educational resources, he helps property owners make informed decisions about land management, preparedness, and protecting the places they call home. When he is not writing, Faron enjoys music, gardening, and exploring the unique challenges and opportunities of rural living.
