The New Oz Chronicles

In the aftermath of a destructive invasion against the Emerald City, Nikidik Pipt, the Crooked Wizard of Oz, flees into the Munchkin countryside, carrying the dangerous magical imprint of an ancient being whose whispers threaten to unravel his very sanity. Suspecting that severing the bond can be done through the dark arts, he seeks out the only person he can trust: his elder brother Alticar, a hermit who lives alone in the deepest part of the forest.

After being an unwitting pawn in a nefarious plot to overthrow the Emerald City, the once proud and noble Leopard King of Oz has returned home to the Quadling Wilds to recover from his challenging ordeal. Alas, the intended respite becomes quickly engulfed by the intentions of another: one of the great demigods of the forest, a mysterious white stag who takes the animal on a spiritual journey into a past full of trauma, excitement and tragedy.

The Nightmare has finally fallen in Oz, but the trauma it caused weighs heavily on the minds of a handful of people at the Green Delight, a farmstead located in the Emerald Fields beyond the country's great prosperous capital. It is here where Dorothy Gale takes her beloved companion Toto to seek rest, and while there he encounters a handful of new friends who are all experiencing the same sense of uncertainty for Oz's future. Will his time there shed light on the questions he still does not know answers to? And will his new friends prove to be dependable allies in what is to come?
