This book, Be Prepared: Developing and Implementing a Theology of Suffering, is a call to all believers to not be caught off guard as it relates to suffering. Despite what many preachers are saying, suffering is not the abnormal experience of a child of God. Suffering is a "normal part of the Christian life." Jesus, Paul, James, and Peter all make this abundantly clear.

Need a new start? I've been there. During my forty-two years as a sales representative, I changed industries three times. Then, when I found an industry I could stay in for a while, I developed a voice disorder. That's not good if you work in sales. But I continued to work in sales for twenty years after developing a voice disorder.

It's great fun seeing a theatrical production. You settle into your seat, peruse the program, and look forward to what awaits. When the curtain opens, you see what we want you to see. As the show progresses, you think the director has the easiest job in the world. It's so simple, so easy, so effortless you begin to think, That's something I could do.

I feel this book will offer and reveal practical use and common understanding through the application of scripture, coupled with the challenges of everyday life. Joy is one of the most important commodities and gifts that Jesus promised His people. This was one of the main reasons why I feel the Holy Spirit urged me to write this book.
