I was just stopping to fuel up, when blam, I lost control of my craft. Now I'm stranded on this alien planet. If I don't figure out how to get my craft repaired and get out of here soon, I'll be in violation of several of the major space laws and probably some minor ones of which I'm not aware. Or perhaps I'll stay; perhaps they'll make me an all-powerful ruler. But no, I need to return to from where I came. This food doesn't taste too bad, but for all I know, they could be trying to poison me. My translator's not working, and I can't understand a word they're saying.

Ever dreamed of owning a restaurant? I know I have. I think owning a restaurant would be fun. But it would require a lot of hours and a lot of work. So I settle for dreaming about restaurants I'd like to eat at.

This year was an off year for apples. At least it was in my yard. Others in my neighborhood reported a record year as far as the number of apples on their trees goes. However, my trees only really invest in producing apples every other year. And this year they were saving their energy to reach for the sun. In 2017, I wrote Strawberry Cheesecake Applesauce. That treat always makes me drool. This year I’m writing Chocolate Covered Cherries Applesauce, which is another treat that will make you be rude and salivate.

They say that some people would walk through hell for love. Would you? Well maybe you would, you’re just crazy enough to do something so foolish as that. Humans aren't supposed to be able to see angels, but sometimes things happen. It's not the worst thing that she's ever done. Well maybe it is. But it wasn't really her fault. Just like it wasn't really her fault when all that snow had fallen off her wings and crashed through the roof of a shed.

Grandmother took off her amulet of power and placed it over Carena's neck. The council looked askance. Carena's sisters and mother looked jealous. Grandmother looked smug. Then she turned into a pile of dust. Carena picked up the pile of dust, then blew each bit of dust out into the air. She let the fire ripple down her arms. And one by one, she ignited each speck of dust, so that it shone like a star just for an instant. Somehow she knew, this was what Grandmother would have wanted.

From across the room, he noticed her elbow. As he traced the curve of her elbow with his eyes, he noticed something stenciled there. At this distance, he should not have been able to tell that that something was a flower. But he could, so he gave up reasoning for reality. His eye started tracing the lines of the flower. He was only vaguely aware that the flower was drawn on a woman's elbow some 20 yards away.

The Dancer is a simple story of a young woman in love, a young woman who is trying to find out who she is. While the story is simple, the manner in which it unfolds is anything but. And sometimes the ride is so wild it has everyone, including the author, hanging on to their seats. The Dancer starts on the Stage and that's where it ends. In between, it goes to the beach, to an Artist's Studio, and to a Native Village. We come to understand that the Artist's Studio and Native Village are other worlds. Will the Dancer find true love? Will she find her place in the World?
