This letter of St. John Chrysostom to the Bishop of Rome, deals with Theophilus, the leader of the Church in Alexandria. Theophilus had been commanded to go to Constantinople, to answer to the Emperor for accusations against him. He arrived bringing with him a multitude of Egyptian Bishops, showing from the outset that he came for war and antagonism, argues Chrysostom.

Gaston Gallimard (1881-1975), fondateur des Éditions de la Nouvelle Revue française avec André Gide et Jean Schlumberger, confia un jour à Jean Cau qu'il n'écrirait jamais ses mémoires d'éditeur, craignant de ruiner sa maison en disant tout ce qu'il y avait vu et tout ce qu'il savait des mœurs et pratiques de la vie littéraire. Il ne les écrivit pas et, pour finir, se confia peu.

Fin 1902, un jeune homme de 20 ans envoie ses essais poétiques à Rainer Maria Rilke et lui demande de les juger. Une correspondance s'établit entre les deux hommes. Dix lettres constituent ce recueil, publié en 1929, après la mort de Rilke. "Vous me demandez si vos vers sont bons... Votre regard est tourné vers le dehors ; c'est cela qu'il ne faut plus faire. Under the cover of being designated as private correspondence, the letters between the queen and the governor-general about the dismissal have been locked away for decades in the National Archives of Australia, and embargoed by the queen - potentially forever.
