The Tirukkural (honoured Kural) is one of the world's greatest literary and philosophical masterpieces. Composed in Tamil by Tiruvalluvar sometime between 2 BCE and 5 CE, its succinct couplets seek to explain and guide the listener through life's various situations: political, spiritual, domestic and social.

Nemmeno il successivo appannarsi del prestigio di Ovidio ha mai esaurito la lista dei riverberi letterari delle Metamorfosi, fino a ieri – probabilmente fino a domani.

All languages are Allah’s. He has revealed, created, and moulded them, shaped them throughout the ages. Originally, mankind was one tribe S2 V213, and from it, all people descend, and all tongues, dialects, and vernaculars. So, there is a common bond, a genetic unity reflected also in words and cultures. Ultimately, this bond also exists in our common faith. The way that Allah communicates with man is through a common matrix of speech, and the way He reveals is through poetry, using metaphors and allegories.

Astrophil and Stella is an enchanting English sonnet sequence composed by Sir Philip Sidney in the 1580s. This collection consists of 108 sonnets and 11 songs, each woven with poetic artistry and emotional depth. The title itself holds a celestial allure: Astrophil derives from the Greek words "aster" (meaning star) and "phil" (meaning lover). Stella is the Latin word for star. In this poetic journey, Astrophil represents the star lover, while Stella embodies the star itself. Their relationship unfolds through the sonnets and songs, capturing the complexities of love, desire, and longing.

This poem is a send up poem written about the insatiable drive that an over zealous optimist has of self, that possesses boundless energy, and enthusiasm for life, without fully realizing the implications and inherent mistakes that can come about. Paradise Lost is an epic poem in blank verse by the 17th-century English poet John Milton (1608–1674). The first version, published in 1667, consists of ten books with over ten thousand lines of verse. A second edition followed in 1674, arranged into twelve books (in the manner of Virgil's Aeneid) with minor revisions throughout. This enigmatic poem is attributed to Seng-t'san, the third Chinese patriarch of Zen, who died in 606 CE. The tone of the work is revealed in the opening stanza in which the patriarch recommends dynamic introspection as the ideal attitude in solving the apparent problems of life. He urges the seeker neither to become trapped in the "outer entanglements of life" nor to isolate himself in solitude, but to remain calm in the procession of personal vicissitudes, seeing the essential oneness of all things.
