Unexplained is a haunting and unsettling bi-weekly podcast about strange and mysterious real life events that continue to evade explanation. a real stand out piece of work in a genre where the is so much noise and hyperbole. this is the perfect antidote - fascinating tales of mystery and the bizzare, thoroughly researched and thoughtfully presented in an unhurried, relaxed and almost hypnotic manner. I particularly enjoyed the backing music that goes with each episode and look forward to winding down at the end of the day with the dulcet tones of RMS. a real treat .

fascinating, thoughtful and understated mystery podcast perfect for night time listening

I read the book, and was so excited to find it was based on a podcast. But wth! Why does he talk like he’s reading the time?! He sounds so bored. It’s really a big shame. The first episode was fine but it just changed to this weird voice. It is very distracting and now I can’t understand the story. It’s a no from me.

Why does he talk like this?

i love how Richard expands on any given story of the week and we get to hear about pop culture references, philosophy, metaphysics - it's not just about the thrilling story, but about what these stories and events tell us about ourselves. there is so much care put into how these stories are told too in the podcast

one or my favourite podcasts

Nice to hear a presenter who treats the subject matter with the respect it deserves, opposed to someone who is seemingly jacked up on red bull. Take a bow RMS.

Superb stories and narrative. Ads suck……..
