  • Bonus Episode : Interview With Forensic Pathologist Dr Richard Shepherd
    Jun 6 2026

For this special bonus episode, I’m joined by Dr Richard Shepherd, one of Britain's most respected forensic pathologists.

Having conducted more than 23,000 post-mortem examinations, Dr Shepherd has worked on some of the most significant criminal investigations and disasters of modern times. In this interview, he shares remarkable insights into forensic pathology, discusses the realities of investigating suspicious deaths, and reflects on the cases that have stayed with him throughout his extraordinary career.

I was fascinated by this conversation and I know that you will be too. And to hear more from Dr Shepherd, you can catch him on tour later this autumn - details below - and I will be back with my next story as usual on Tuesday, so please do join me then.

  • The Price Of Obsession : Episode 515
    Jun 4 2026

Peter Lee was a respected businessman who had built one of the North East's largest bus companies - looking in from the outside, he had it all. But behind the scenes, he was secretly stealing hundreds of thousands of pounds from his own business to fund an obsession with a London sex worker.

As the deception grew, so did the consequences. What began as a fantasy would eventually lead to criminal charges, a prison sentence, the collapse of his company and the loss of hundreds of jobs. In this episode, I examine the extraordinary rise and fall of Peter Lee, and how one man's obsession destroyed everything he had worked to build.

I will be back with a bonus episode of the UK True Crime Podcast on Sunday when I chat to the legendary Forensic Pathologist, Dr Richard Shepherd - please join me for that and then the next regular episode on Tuesday.

  • The Hardest Man In Town : Episode 514
    Jun 1 2026

From South Wales, I look at the tragic case of 20 year old Matthew Boyd, a young soldier whose night out in Brecon ended in devastating violence. I follow the events of that evening, the investigation that followed, and the court case that revealed what really happened. It's a shocking and tragic story which once again shows how a few moments of violence can change many lives forever.

I will be back with a new episode of the UK True Crime Podcast on Friday, please join me.

I first came across this podcast on Spotify which was great for me but finding it here just makes me want to listen to every episode again!
I highly recommend if you are interested in true crime but prefer a short summary of cases, most episodes are 20 ish minutes so they're great for snapshots of events. Very easy listen!

A brilliant addition to my week

I'm new to this podcast and pleasantly surprised. As many "fans" of the genre - I'm not sure if fans is the right word - I find true crime fascinating, I detest the "exciting" delivery style on many a Netflix documentary that glamourises the crime and/or perpetrator.

In contrast, this podcast looks at at the details of the crimes covered in a much more measured tone and Adam always takes time to remind the listener of the victims and their loved ones.

He praises and admonishes the police as appropriate to the specific case. This is unusual as many I have heard will make excellent police work sound surprising.

I love the musical and historical context given at the start of each episode.

The advertisements were a bit of a shock as I usually listen to audiobooks and podcasts without them but I'm steadily working my way through them so it can't be that off-putting!
