    Jim Cox and his wife lived adjacent to the now-Ridge Golf and Gardens when it became available several years ago, so they took the plunge.

    Then, a couple of years ago, when one of Ohio's highly respected courses, Darby Creek, hit the market, they waded right in and snared it, too.

    Two Marysville-area courses within 2 miles of each other as the crow flies, each needing various degrees of upgrades - Cox and his wife stepped up to the challenge and anyone can see the differences, from the clubhouse to the greens.

    Under the auspices of the 2nd & 6 Foundation, the 1996 Ohio State Rose Bowl championship team was gathered by Ryan Miller to reminisce this week at Wedgewood Country Club. It's been 30 years - or as one of the players put it, "a blink of an eye" - since their dominant Big Ten title season, marred only by a 13-9 loss to Michigan. But they rallied to upset No.2 Arizona State in the Rose Bowl and themselves finish No.2 in the final polls. We reminisce with them.
