  • The Truth About Garnacho, Arsenal Collapse & Who Man United Should Sign!
    Apr 20 2026
Paul, Nicky and Paddy dive into Manchester City’s massive 2-1 win over Arsenal and what it means for the title race. Scholesy doesn’t hold back, arguing that Arsenal’s failure to deliver in the biggest moments has cost them yet again, while the lads debate where this title would rank for Pep Guardiola if City go all the way. There’s also praise for Bernardo Silva, who Paul believes was the standout player on the pitch, and a wider discussion about leadership, or the lack of it, in this Arsenal side. Nicky explains why Arsenal fans shouldn’t be too downbeat despite the result and he and Scholesey recall how momentum can affect a title race. After Manchester United’s 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge. Paul questions what Chelsea are actually building, and the panel discuss how long Liam Rosenior might realistically have in the job. The conversation then shifts to Alejandro Garnacho, with Nicky giving an inside perspective from his time at the club and explaining why he believes selling him was the right call. Scholesy goes even further, questioning Garnacho’s mentality, and the lads debate how a player like him would have been received in their dressing room. Paddy puts some big questions to the lads: how much Chelsea could get for Garnacho this summer? Would Cole Palmer fit in at Man Utd? Who is the one player each of them would sign this summer for United? Plus, it wouldn’t be The Good, The Bad & The Football without a bit of an argument. Paddy reveals his top five biscuits, sparking a heated debate about you pronounce Nice biscuits, and Nicky shares a story about nearly getting caught up in road rage on the way to the studio. • Man United's Squad: Keep or Sell? Liverpool In CRISIS! & Arsenal SHOCKED By Southampton!
    Apr 6 2026
Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and Paddy McGuinness are back together on the latest episode of The Good, The Bad & The Football. The lads dig into Arsenal’s wobble after they suffered back-to-back defeats for the first time this season, with the latest coming in their FA Cup exit at Southampton. They discuss just how hard it is to stop a losing run once it starts and whether Arsenal’s lack of match-winners could cost them in the title race. There's a surprise admission from Scholesy about who he hopes wins the league and he makes a bold call on the one player he believes simply MUST be in the England squad for the men's World Cup. Meanwhile, the number of Arsenal players who withdrew from their national teams during the international break sparks memories for Nicky of the time he tried to pull his own hamstring to avoid a call-up.Liverpool’s heavy 4-0 defeat at Man City comes under the microscope too, with Paul arguing the squad has lost too many of its unsung heroes who did the dirty work, and questioning whether the current group are letting the manager down. Nicky doesn’t hold back either, taking aim at Virgil van Dijk’s post-match comments about the team giving up at the Etihad and asking whether the mentality is where it needs to be. The lads also debate whether Liverpool missed a trick by not signing Marc Guehi and whether a huge result against PSG could still flip the narrative, or if things could go from bad to worse for Arne Slot. And if that happens, could it mean a return for Steven Gerrard?Paul and Nicky also turn their attention to the summer ahead for Manchester United, firstly arguing whether Michael Carrick should keep the head coach job full-time and secondly, picking which players they would keep and who they would move on in the summer. And because it wouldn’t be The Good, The Bad & The Football without some weird and wonderful stories, we find out why Nicky fell out with a staff member at his local bakery and Paddy recalls a truly unfortunate incident at a urinal while filming Take Me Out.If you want to ask the guys anything about football email them at: questions@goodbadfootball.co.uk.Follow The Good, The Bad & The Football:YouTube: www.youtube.com/@goodbadfootballpodInstagram: @goodbadfootballpodX/Twitter: @goodbadftblpodTikTok: goodbadfootballpodFacebook: www.facebook.com/goodbadfootballpodEnter for the chance to win tickets to see Arsenal v Sporting or Liverpool v PSG: www.thatprizeguy.co.uk Learn more about your ad choices.
