  • How to Unlock £10,000+ in Your Business (Without More Clients)
    Apr 23 2026

Most people think scaling means more clients. I don't.
I think scaling is better clients, better systems, and better monetisation, so you can grow without your life getting eaten alive.

In this episode, I'm showing you how to unlock thousands of pounds in your business without a single new customer.

It starts with a simple reframe…

McDonald's are the kings of the upsell. "Do you want fries with that?" is estimated to generate a HUGE chunk of revenue, and the margins are wild.
So the question becomes: what's YOUR version of "fries with that"?

The only ways to grow a business (and what most people ignore)
Get more customers (often the hardest one)
Get customers to spend more (upsells / premium options / add-ons)
Get customers to stay longer (retention / recurring revenue / service plans)
Turn customers into raving fans who refer people (reviews + referrals on purpose)

I break down real examples of how this looks in the real world, trades, gyms, subscriptions, service plans, premium options, and why most businesses cap their income because they have no next step, no follow-up, and a forgettable experience.

If your business feels like constant chasing, constant selling, constant pressure… don't assume it's a marketing problem.
Check the business model first: Do people spend more? Do they stay? Do they refer?

And the "mad part"? A lot of this is solved by one thing: ASKING.

  • Decision Fatigue Is Wrecking Your Business (Fix It Like This)
    Apr 16 2026

    Overwhelm isn't a workload problem. It's a decision problem.
And the second you start making clear decisions, overwhelm starts to disappear.

Welcome to Episode 9 of Paul Mort Talks Sh*t (Solo).

I've been missing for a couple of weeks (no sound on a "killer episode", then I got sick, then events… chaos). And ironically… that made this episode even more relevant: overwhelm.

In this one, I break down why business owners feel overwhelmed (at every level), why it doesn't show up by accident, and the simple system I use to stop arriving there, and to shift out of it fast when it hits.

    What I cover:
👉🏼Why overwhelm isn't "too much to do", it's unmade decisions + unclear priorities
👉🏼The idea that overwhelm is the feeling you must do everything… because you haven't decided what matters most
👉🏼The fastest reset: get it out of your head and onto paper (in your head = stress, on paper = a puzzle)

The 30-point scoring system I use to decide what matters:
👉🏼Reality filter: What breaks if I don't do this this week? (deadline vs preference)
👉🏼Progress filter: Does this move my main goal forward by Friday?
👉🏼Calendar filter: Will I actually protect time for this?
What to do with low-score tasks: delete it / park it / delegate it / schedule it
The weekly non-negotiable: your Key 3, protected, defended, finished

If you're overwhelmed right now, you don't need "more time"… you need to decide what matters, and then act like it matters.

  • Progress Feels Invisible… Until You Do This (90-Day Review)
    Apr 9 2026

Most people completely misjudge their progress… because they judge it by how it feels.
And progress can feel invisible… right up until you sit down and REVIEW it properly.

Welcome to episode 8 of Paul Mort Talks Sh*t (Solo).

Every 90 days, I sit down with no phone, no distractions and do a proper life + business review because you can't expect real self-belief without evidence.

Q1 for me felt like a grind: slow progress, slow sales, I got sick twice, picked up a knee injury, and it felt like I'd missed a third of the quarter.
But when I actually reviewed it? It turned out to be a great quarter, and that's the point: what it feels like isn't always what's happening.

In this episode, I walk you through a short, cliff-notes version of the 90-day review, why most people avoid it (because they don't want to face the truth), and why reviewing stops you from repeating the same cycle over and over.

I also share key lessons from my quarter, including:
👉🏼We don't fail… we stop (and I never miss two)
👉🏼If you don't slow down, your body will force you to
👉🏼Recovery matters more as you get older and small changes (like not scrolling at night) can make a massive difference
👉🏼The next level is often subtraction, not adding more

If you do the review properly, it takes about 20 minutes, and you'll stop guessing, stop hoping, and start building real clarity and momentum.
