Midday Prayer — Jesus, When My Heart Feels Overwhelmed: Lead Me Back to the Place Where I Am Steady and Safe in You Psalm 61:2 — From the Ends of the Earth I Call to You… Lead Me to the Rock That Is Higher Than I Live from London, England São Paulo • Dallas • Nairobi • Manila • Vienna midday prayer for overwhelm • Psalm 61:2 prayer • emotional reset prayer • calm mind Christian prayer • mental clarity prayer Psalm 61:2 (NIV): “From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” Matthew 11:28 (NIV): “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Jesus, I come to You in the middle of this day, not at my strongest—but exactly as I am. There are moments where everything feels heavier than expected. Thoughts overlap, emotions sit just beneath the surface, and even small things begin to feel like too much. Some of what I’m carrying doesn’t make sense yet. And I don’t try to resolve it all in this moment. I come closer. You meet me here—not once I’ve sorted everything out, but right in the middle of what feels unfinished and unclear. You bring steadiness. Not by removing everything around me, but by becoming the place where I can stand without being shaken. You lift me above what feels overwhelming and give me ground that holds. So I pause. I let the noise settle. I let my breathing slow. I allow myself to stand again on something firm. Jesus, lead me back to that place. Where I am not overwhelmed. Where I am not stretched beyond what I can carry. Where I am held, steady, and safe in You. I continue from here. Jesús, cuando mi corazón se siente abrumado, Tú me llevas a un lugar firme y seguro. Jesus Cristo, quando o meu coração se sente sobrecarregado, Tu levas-me a um lugar firme e seguro. From São Paulo to Dallas, from Nairobi to Vienna, across every place feeling emotionally stretched, You are present. You are steadying. You are restoring Your people. So I return. I stand. I move forward again. In Your name, Jesus, I am grounded, held, and steady.
