  • Gilmore Girls S02E12 “Richard in Stars Hollow” | Dean Builds a Car
    May 5 2026

In this episode of Gilmore Friends, Chemda and Carrie dive into Season 2, Episode 12, "Richard in Stars Hollow." The retirement honeymoon is officially over as Richard’s new "hobby" becomes micromanaging Emily’s every move, from counting her morning coffees to tagging along to her DAR meetings and symphony luncheons. We discuss the relatable (and slightly cringey) transition of having a partner suddenly home 24/7 and Lorelai's "spirited" reaction to having her father invade her Stars Hollow sanctuary.

Meanwhile, at Chilton, Paris is on a warpath to win the Oppenheimer Award, dragging Rory on a mission to uncover the "seedy underbelly" of Stars Hollow. We also take a nostalgic trip back to the era of VHS vs. DVD at the video store, marvel at Kirk’s ever-growing resume, and debate the mysterious "Tabatha" reference that had us scrolling through Reddit for answers. Plus, we break down Dean's big car reveal, Richard's interference, and that surprising Yale legacy drop.

  • Gilmore Girls S02E09 “Run Away, Little Boy” | Romeo, Juliet, and Dean’s Jealousy
    Apr 14 2026

Welcome back, Gilmore Friends! In today's episode, Chemda and Carrie dive into the drama, the fashion, and the questionable life choices of "Run Away, Little Boy." We’re breaking down everything from Lorelai’s "freshly laundered" date with Paul (and that vending machine burrito!) to the high-stakes Shakespearean showdown at Chilton.

We discuss the complicated ethics of secret-keeping between Rory, Dean, and Tristan, and wonder why Paris is basically an abusive director. Plus, we celebrate the return of Henry Cho, analyze Sookie’s orange bandana shirt, and try to wrap our heads around the legendary "Drop, Kick Me, Jesus" song.

Is Tristan actually going to military school for good? Why does everyone in Stars Hollow think Lorelai is a "cougar"? And most importantly, what was Luke’s name in the original script? (Hint: It’s not Duke!)

  • Gilmore Girls S02E08 “The Ins and Outs of Inns” | The Dragonfly Dream
    Apr 7 2026

Is it just us, or is Mercury currently retrograde in Stars Hollow? This week on Gilmore Friends, Chemda and Carrie dive into Season 2, Episode 8, "The Ins and Outs of Inns," and the vibes are definitely weird. From Emily's masterclass in manipulation involving a suspiciously fast oil painting to a "secret" town meeting that felt a little too much like a middle school Mean Girls club, everyone is having a major moment.

We also meet the legendary Mia, the woman who took Lorelai in when she was just a girl with a baby and a dream. Watching the "Good Mom" (Mia) and the "Original Mom" (Emily) finally occupy the same space was the most polite, sophisticated, and heartbreaking "fight" we've ever seen. Plus, Jess is out here staging fake crime scenes with chalk outlines that won't come off, and Luke is actually hugging people? It's a lot to process, dolls.

    • The "Rachel" Property: Lorelai and Sookie get serious about their future.
