Australia’s oldest wine region is only a couple of hours from Sydney, but the Hunter Valley still feels like one of Australia’s best weekend escapes. In this episode, we head to the Hunter Valley in New South Wales for a private wine tour with our own sommelier, Matt from Sydney Privé, visiting some of the region’s most iconic wineries along the way. In this episode, we talk about how we spent four enjoyable days in this coastal city in north western Galicia. We did a walking tour that really helped us understand the city, found what we think is the best tapas area, with fantastic food, great atmosphere and very reasonable prices, and spent plenty of time just wandering. It is a very unusual Spanish city and we explain why in the podcast.

We also walked part of the longest seaside promenade in Europe and visited the Tower of Hercules, the oldest Roman built lighthouse in the world that is still working today. It is simple, impressive and very much part of everyday life in A Coruña.
