The Heisei Era finally goes intergalactic this week! For this episode of 2 Black Guys Talk Godzilla, Aaron and Terence dig into the magnificently titled 1994 film Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla, directed by Kensho Yamashita. This busy entry finds Godzilla teamed up with Mothra and MOGUERA to take on an extraterrestrial clone looking to conquer the planet. That’s more than enough for Terence and Aaron to work with as they discuss the kaiju designs, the continuity of this era’s storyline, including the continued presence of Baby G, and just how far this film can push. Yes, the mechanical monster is back, but completely unrelated to Simians. Instead, we have a G-Force who have built this machine to fight back against the King of the Monsters. With that in mind, Terence and Aaron have plenty to discuss about the return of a couple of popular enemies, the introduction of Baby G, and the continued overlap of story elements in the Heisei Era.
