About this listen

Sometimes a chill…
Has nothing to do with the weather.

It’s the tail end of summer, and things are finally getting back to normal in Granite. The dental clinic is finished being rebuilt after the fire, and amateur sleuth and dog trainer, Eve, can finally get back to her old routine.

With more time on her plate, she intends to focus on her dogs’ training with renewed vigor – a plan that coincides perfectly with a local independent journalist’s request for some footage of her training her search and rescue dogs.

During their first outing, the reporter, April, asks Eve for a personal favor. Her grandmother’s friend went missing at the local nursing home, and the staff is being less than forthcoming. They claim her family picked her up, but according to April’s grandmother, the woman had no family. She thinks the elderly woman might have wandered off the property, and the nursing home is trying to cover their tracks.

Eve agrees to search for the missing woman with Willow, but there’s no trail to be found. Things take a dark turn when a tragedy is discovered. Eve and April are convinced that the nursing home is harboring a secret and they’re determined to work together to uncover it.

Can they solve the crime and root out the suspects?
Find out in this exciting canine Cozy Mystery!

Eve never knows when she will be asked to help out a friend with her search and rescue dogs. April, a reporter has a request for her grandmother who has a friend in the home she lives in that has gone missing. No one seems worried, so Eve brings Willow to sniff around but she finds nothing. But that isn't her fault. She finds people who are alive and when a body is found, a whole new investigation begins. Eve is right in the middle, sleuthing to the best of her ability all while she is working on her budding relationship with Aiden continues. I love this series, each book is like coming home for friends, and I love playing whodunnit for a couple of hours! The dogs for me are a huge plus, as their personalities are so fun! Love this one!

Julie McKay continues her narration, and I am all for it. She keeps things consistent and each book gives her a new and fresh set of characters to add into the family of the small town. She builds the suspense and gives these characters heart and emotions. I love her voice and always enjoy when she is at the mic.

So many searches...what does Aiden find?
