I don't often review books and this was a book I felt I should read rather than chose to read. I am a counsellor and psychotherapist and hold some reservations about self help books (many of which the author also referred to). This book, however , summarised so many useful theories, strategies and ideas to maintain and enhance mental health in an engaging and accessible way, that it will certainly be a book I recommend to clients and friends alike. I think it could work as a basis for teaching children and young people (and our broken culture) how to care for themselves and others. Thank you, Dr Julie for all the knowledge, hard work and compassion you poured into this book.
