Summary

Lord Hampton cursed his luck. Six dukes were in league together to force their sons to marry, and one of them was his own father. This is a fun possibly quite well written story but the narrator detracts from it, The voice is shrill, the accent does not suit the story and it was poorly read.

It is one thing to write a clean story, but this seems very American with the combination of gun waving and clean. I do miss the reason for any attraction between the main characters.

On the other hand the story attempts to be a bit different.

It has some little humour but t not enough for me to continue with the series.

Started well but Started going on and on. The romance was just a few minutes at the end, otherwise mostly about the ton and how the gossip spread and the consequences and left very little time for any romance story.

What the MMCs of this series did and acted on just turned me cold against them. All the other characters were lovely though. I loved that the FMC did not change her headstrong self one bit even after her reputation being ruined.

I am interested to read the next book just to see if the next MMC would redeem himself… we’ll see if I actually go through with my plan though.

This is a ZERO spice book. No hand-holding and no kissing, bummer but to be honest I only noticed it near the end. Also, there’s really not much romance to it? I would suggest this to my niece because that’s just how clean it is.

I liked the premise of this book. Absolutely hated the MMC.
