About this listen

When her husband dies in a tragic accident, Antoinette's world falls apart. He was her rock and the man she thought she knew better than she knew herself. But as she arrives at the church for George's funeral, she sees an unfamiliar woman. Phaedra loved George too, and could not bear to stay away from his funeral. As she sits before his wife, she knows that what she is about to reveal will change their lives forever….

I have enjoyed the story so far but the narration is awful and absolutely ruins the characterisation. I could not bear to listen to it again.

Challenging story-line

A wonderful story of unfolding secrets ,written with deliciously intertwined love stories and a true lesson in forgiveness for the better good. A real feel good read!

Brilliant narrarator, a lovely unfolding story

The old granny was my favorite character. The narrator did an excellent job of making Julien extremely creepy. I could just about see Rosalind with her sad crush on the doctor.

Great Narrator

I always love Santa Montifiore books but this one had a rather predictable ending. I did enjoy it though and would recommend it. Just not my favourite

some times stories are to predictable, and to a degree this was too, but it took me a little while before I believed my guess to be right.

Great story even with its sadness.
