About this listen

“Read this book, strengthen your resolve, and help us all return to reason.” —JORDAN PETERSON

There’s a war against truth … and if we don’t win it, intellectual freedom will be a casualty.

The West’s commitment to freedom, reason, and true liberalism have become endangered by a series of viral forces in our society today. Renowned host of the popular YouTube show The Saad Truth, Dr. Gad Saad exposes how an epidemic of idea pathogens are spreading like a virus and killing common sense in the West.

Serving as a powerful follow-up to Jordan Peterson’s book 12 Rules for Life, Dr. Saad unpacks what is really happening in progressive safe zones, why we need to be paying more attention to these trends, and what we must do to stop the spread of dangerous thinking. A professor at Concordia University who has witnessed this troubling epidemic first-hand, Dr. Saad dissects a multitude of these concerning forces (corrupt thought patterns, belief systems, attitudes, etc.) that have given rise to a stifling political correctness in our society and how these have created serious consequences that must be remedied—before it’s too late.

Clearly narrated return to sanity. A systematic deconstruction of hypocritical, 'victim'/'offended' apologist thinking and behaviour.

I like the narrator, good tone good pase, specially if you are autistic, no over emphasis words a simple emphatic yet neutral tone. It is an easy listen. I believe this book was roughly 20ish hours. so it won't take you long to finish it. but the book is pretty straight to the point and I like that a lot of the claims are loaded with example. No empty claims. Ofcourse you might not agree with all that is said, I know I don't, but the overall message is pretty clear. Freedom of speech is something we sadly take for granted. It is a precious commodity, sadly it is only afforded to a few in this world, until it is not.

Puts a lot of thinks in to perspective.

With laser like precision and a Ph.D in life, Dr Gad Saad cuts through the bullshit with a surgeons precision. This man has become my saviour and my guru. A brilliant book to help you wade through and make sense of all the nonsense. Buy this book for your friends, buy it for your family. Share the clarity. Your poor, addled brain will thank you. Mazel Tov Dr Saad.

A good listen, with lots of anecdotes broken down with rationality.
I just wish that Gad Saad had read it himself!

Great book highlighting woke lunacy

I don't think anything has left me more distressed over the last 2 decades or so than the contempt that modern society has for truth.

Yes, truth. Not feelings but facts.

This is an excellent breakdown of why truth matters, what is at risk when we fail to give it proper regard and what, maybe, those of us who value truth can do to protect it before the desire for truth is completely lost in a new Dark Age of lunacy.

If you think you'll love this, buy it. If you think you'll hate it, buy it twice and force someone else just like you to listen to it as well. One day, you will be glad that you did.

The only minor (and it is minor) complaint is that although the narrator is excellent, the author would have been just as good as a narrator. The world deserves to hear strong ideas from the horse's mouth as it were. Though Mr. Saad, please note, I am not comparing you to a horse. ;-)
