Best historical romance I’ve read/listened to in a while! The MCs’ relationship builds at a believable pace, and the sparks really fly after a certain point! The steam is hot and I wish there were more — only because I’m greedy.

The narrator is so good! Each character has a different voice, from the young heroine to the hero to her horrible mother.

I’ve read so many romances now and I really appreciate when the characters actually develop and grow — these two definitely finished the book better than where they started.

My first read by this author—now I need to go back to book 1!
