The incredible break-out thriller from the Sunday Times bestselling author. Shortlisted for the Irish Crime Book Awards

Ingrid will never forget what John did.

The people he hurt. The way he lied about it so easily. The way she defended him.

Now he’s back.

He says a murderer is after her. He says only he can protect her.

Would you trust him?

The clock is ticking for Ingrid to decide. Because the killer is ready to strike…

Narration very irritating when exploring the court cases and the conversations between the different parties. Very repetitive .. KC.. IL . Otherwise the story is good,

Like others have written I ordered the book thinking it was the next in her usual detective series which I love. Nearly gave up bout third in so bored. Then I got hooked but just how stupid is Ingrid? I also knew who was guilty (noone else it cud be no other character) but not sure why she revealed her hand when alone in a remote location with the killers!!! Had Caseys usual obession with the 'tough attractive woman' who has to wear no make up to prove she is serious!!! Oh and 'forgets to eat' to show she is really into her investigation (who does that in real life)... Not her best Ingrid is too clever for her own good on one hand but really really stupid about her personal safety... Meh...

Don’t be put off by the negative reviews, like I really nearly was!! People seemed cross that it wasn’t a Meave Carrigan novel. It isn’t, but it’s just as good!
The emails don’t work as well with audible but we have to remember that authors write books to be read - not to be read

Lots of great twists in this story. Love Jane Casey but the narrator spoils this a bit. Quite robotic and makes it hard to like the central character.

Twisty
