I saw this book had some low rating reviews but I like to make up my own mind and I’m glad I did, I really enjoyed this book, it’s got twists and some unexplainable intriguing concepts which really captured me. I’d read more but this author.

I really liked the narrator.

The narration was good but I found keeping track of the characters difficult. Lots going on but it does pull together in the end.

Ok but confusing

*The Whisper Man* is still Alex North's best book for me, but *The Half-Burnt House* is just as good as *The Shadow Friend*—a solid 5-star read. This was my first time listening to one of his books, and while I did speed up the narration a bit, the narrator did a great job. Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed it
