Listener received this title free

To be fair, I've never written a book, so I'll try not to be too self-righteous. The author's apparent social/political standpoint is evident in her writing. There's nothing wrong with disagreeing with someone's views and opinions. However, I feel when I'm listening to an audiobook and find myself disagreeing with some opinions, it slowly starts to feel like I'm being lectured. As a mum, I can kind of relate to the content, but the author and I are just clearly two very different people. Even some choice phrases have put me off listening to this entire book. One example I can give would be: "me thinks". I finished the chapter "Labour Of Love" and then decided to knock this book on the head. Not for me.

The narration is very calming and easy to listen to. The narrator speaks clearly and has a familiar tone to her voice that I find comforting.
