I didn't know all the different things that come along with having a bee hive. Specifically, I didn't know about the different kinds of bees and how they behave. I also didn't know about the type of products they produce. I knew about honey and wax but I did not know about propolis. I knew there had to be different things to do for different seasons, but I didn't know about clustering in winter. This book gave a lot of great details and I will definitely look into getting a hive for my garden!
