This was so beautiful! I absolutely loved that we got to have young Cates back story with Nathalie. It made me so happy at her self discovery but also heartbroken at her families lack of support and abuse. Overall, I highly recommend this and all of Jens books. They’re extremely well written and full of emotion.

Written in third person with a single POV. Narrated by Abby Craden. Prequel to The Senators Wife series but recommended it should be read as Book Four. Contemporary Romance, Students, Messy Family Dynamics, First Time with a Woman. 4x Spicy Scenes (Mostly Minimal Description scenes).

I was delighted to see there was a prequel to the much enjoyed Senator’s wife series. It didn’t disappoint either. I would definitely agree with the author to read this as the 4th book in the series … it filled in gaps but knowing what was going to happen made the story more dramatic and heartbreaking.
