It’s one of my favourite Allingham stories, where she really tries to to handle issues of class and identity and the mythology of ‘important ‘ families. The characters are actually quite subtle despite being almost allegorical figures within the story. And the twists!
The performance is a tour de force, with Luke, Campion and Mrs Broom jumping out of the recording in 3d.
