This instalment feels quieter and more introspective than the earlier books. Important to the overall story but slower in pace. The focus on Luna and Dane brings some poignant closure and beautiful symbolism, yet their relationship sometimes drags compared with the tight, high-stakes rhythm of the previous volumes.

What the book does excel at is the emotional layering: the trauma, the healing, and the careful weaving of past threads all land with weight. It’s less about action and more about aftermath.

This has truly been a one of the best dark romance series I've read! The characters are all amazing. The spice is great. more than anything the storyis so well written. it's exiting, mysterious. I've just finished the final book and I'm crying - happy tears. I'm sad to have finished this. I loved every minute of this world.

After hearing amazing things about the series i had to read it. However i really struggled with it as it is written in 3rd person POV. Enter the audios the audios for this series have suckered my in. The stories are gripping so many twist and turns and leave you wanting the next instalment to find out what happens next with this gripping Plot.

In this book we find out more about the Mysterious shadow Man and the women who is at the centre of his obsession, their story is just full of heartbreak and the rebuilding of trust and her heart and soul. We finally get to connect some of the dots from previous books and sets us for the final instalment and the conclusion of a truly amazing series

it was focused more on the story between the main characters than the plot. I didn't mind it and i loved it even with so much trauma and pain they still fought for a better life. Amzing story and now i want more and to see what hapoens next. Love the narrators as well they had really calm and smooth voices and i liked that!!!

Book 5 in the Dark verse series - Shadow Man and Lyla

This book is about the infamous shadow man and Lyla (aka Luna Caine).

What happened to the baby that was taken 22 years ago and changed the lives of so many. And who is the deadly shadow man, how did he become and what is his plans?

There are so many questions, and this book has some of the answers.

I listened to this book on Audible. The book felt short and sweet and left me feeling that I still felt I needed to know more and what happened to Nicole?

Learning more about the bonds that are built around this couple makes it a great story.

The complicated emotions from trauma to navigating relationships and emotions and speaking about them make this feel more real.

The next book is the Syndicator, and hopefully, the conclusion to all the unanswered questions and a perhaps a beautiful end.
