I'm a huge fan of Cassandra Doon but this is a totally new genre for her and i'm pleased to say, in my opinion, she smashed it. I'll be honest, following on from Poison is Always in the Prettiest Bottle, I really didn't know how well her writing style would translate into a serious detective mystery but she's done it.

Clear Waters is a fantastic murder mystery that hooked me in right away and kept me listening all morning. I had to finish this book!!!

The suspense and intrigue are well sustained. The writing and vivid descriptions bring this book to life and really get you invested in the characters and their stories and histories.

Being in Australia and knowing about Tumut made this a more personal read for me and I loved the setting and could see this playing out there.

I look forward to more mysteries from this author. :)
