The story was rushed and ended very abruptly. I think it had potential if it had been developed more and had a professional narrator. But as it stands, it was difficult to get through. I was very happy it was short. Otherwise it would have been a DNF.
Moreover, there were music in the background which was very distracting! The story was also a mess. Chapters 6 and 7 were e.g. the same. In chapter 6 it ends with a long pause then chapter 7 starts but it says chapter 6 again (although we are now at chapter 7) and the text is the same as chapter 6. I think chapter 6 should have been deleted and then chapter 7 should have been moved to chapter 6?? But some of the things said in chapter 7 in the middle was said in chapter 4 or 5, the it didn't make much sense. And then we jump to chapter 8 - what then happened to chapter 7, if it was chapter 6?? It was very, very confusing!
As for the narrator (who is also the author under a different name): it was very clear that he was not a professionel. He frequently misread words, had to repeat himself and stumbled over some words. There were also strange pauses and a whisper (chapter 10). If it had been a professional, he would have done a re-recording whenever he messed up. I completely understand that he author probably tried to save money by narrating his own book but it was very bad and made listening difficult.
So 2 stars for potential, but 1 for all other aspects.
