About this listen

Magic runs in the family. Unfortunately, chaos is Paige’s specialty.

When Paige Turner inherits her mother Reed’s knack for attracting magical disasters, she also inherits her mother’s unfinished business—protecting a library of dangerous magical artifacts and keeping the world safe from things better left shelved.

Armed with quick wit, questionable luck, and a snarky teacup dragon named Dewey, Paige faces an ever-growing list of problems: magical artifacts, vengeful undead, interdimensional mishaps, and more surprises than she’s ready for.

But it’s not just about survival. Somewhere in the chaos lies the key to rescuing her mother, Reed, whose mysterious disappearance left Paige to pick up the pieces. As she fends off magical calamities and shadowy enemies, Paige learns that protecting the world isn’t just about wielding power—it’s about finding herself along the way.

This complete series includes all eight laugh-out-loud books and the prequel novella that started it all. If you love slapstick humor, quirky characters, and fantasy worlds brimming with unpredictable magic hidden just below the real world's surface, Shelving Magic is your next binge obsession.

Get ready to laugh, gasp, and cheer as Paige turns magical mishaps into heroic triumphs—one disaster at a time.

The overall story was great but Paige and Dewy were so annoying. Their constant bickering and inability to shut up made the listening quite tedious at times. Who doesn’t learn by t heir mistakes after so long. Also after all they went through the ending was a bit of a damp squib. I thought that at least Paige would find her magic abilities.

Great story

The story was good but the attitude of most of the characters was just so childish and petty and if Paige’s age hadn’t been told then you’d think she was still at school (but in a private education system for a nepo baby).
The narrator hacked her way through it (maybe theys why they sounded so childish 🤷‍♂️) mispronouncing words either that or the use of butchered American words) and confusing the voices some times talking as Paige and stay in Paige voice and doing dewy

The story line was great. Lots of different characters.
Very annoying banter between Page and Devon. Childish dialogues that I found really grated on my nerves.
Never want to hear OMG ! again... and Are you kidding me!

But, I persevered and listened ask the way through... although, if I'm honest, if the entire series wasn't included in my membership, I don't think I would have spent a credit to listen.

Enjoyable but annoying

loved the beginning, fantasy slightly off piste, thought the going into a book was quite clever, nice and easy listening what began to get on my nerves was Devon, and by the time it became clear a relationship was going to start even though he had kidnapped her, tried to kill her etc it was just a full on NO

good first couple of books
