About this listen

Welcome To Your Nightmare… again!

Rock & Roll Nightmares, Volume 1 scratched the sinister surface with tales of the 27 Club, rock ‘n’ roll suicides, plane crashes, curses, and more. Now the award-winning series continues with concert mayhem, a look at the “baby groupie” trend of the 1970s, Satanic panic, horrific home invasions, musicians who’ve died on stage, rockers who lived on borrowed time, gun-toting music producers, deadly DJs, and much more.

You will read about:

  • Murdered rock stars, hitmen hired, and narrow escapes
  • Shocking stories of rockers who’ve served time for violent crimes
  • Devil worship and belief in the occult
  • Folks on the fringe who took their obsessions too far
  • Pyrotechnics gone horribly wrong
  • Musicians mowed down by deadly disease
  • Mysteries solved, graves robbed, fortunes stolen, and more!

I found this in the included section and as soon as I started listening to it I knew I'd enjoy it. It's stories are short, and the writing is peppered with alliteration, imagery and tabloid type phrases. The narrator was absolutely brilliant, in fact I've bought volume 1 already.
There are stories that everyone will know about - but heaps more that you've probably never known about. Parts of it have quite vivid descriptions, which may be uncomfortable for some listeners (particulary chapters 9 and 10) but I would definitely recommend the book to anyone who's interested in rock and roll stories, if nothing else, some of the facts may come in handy for a quiz.

the best rock book I've listened to for a while
