Great story, but why choose an American narrator for a story set in Liverpool? completely inappropriate and spoilt a good story.

I am wondering if G. White had any say on the narrator:. I almost stopped listening and am glad i went on because the story is so incredible. What was the narrator trying to do with her unrecognisable accents.? Who directed this? PLEASE , AUDIBLE, REDO THIS WONDERFUL BOOK. If only for your own archive/collection. Also, how many listeners returned this book because of the narration? AUDIBLE: YOU ARE DOING YOURSELF A DISSERVICE by not re~recording and addressing this problem.

Narration - Perplexing

At first I couldn’t get into this story, didn’t like any of the main characters particularly but then midway through was gripped. The ending (even with the twist) is strange, feels unfinished. The narrator is dreadful, how this was approved is beyond me… story is set in Liverpool but the characters alternate between bad cockney and American, sounding Australian at times… overall I’m it was a freebie, I’d feel slightly cheated if I’d paid!

Liked the story as it’s not the usual run of the mill stuff but the narrator was so bad, switching between American and a very bad cockney accent it ruined the story for me
