Another story on the failures of a system that is outdated and not fit for purpose! When are we going to have a reform of social services. This poor girl could have had a very different life, had the service that are the to protect her done their job properly. I wish Cassie and her family the happily ever after they deserve.

If you like books of the harsh realities of our time, with brilliant narration, and hard-hitting writing, read this! This lady is one of the bravest authors I’ve ever had the pleasure to read. Sometimes, we forget about other people in society, we go about our daily lives and don’t look around us at what’s going on, if you can, please do, because if someone had this young girl may have been saved from the harm that she encountered for four or more years of her life.When I was a young girl, I encountered a very similar situation, the difference between me and this author, is that I had two loving parents and when I explained what happened, they called the police. The man was immediately stopped in his tracks, and, his taxi drivers license removed, giving a warning I believe, to other people in the community not to try that one again! Yes, I was intimidated by his friends and family, yes, so were my friends, ultimately it was the love and support of my parents friends and the belief the authorities had inme that got me through. Had I had a different lifestyle and family, I could very easily have been where Cassie found herself.

Written by a brave lady about a scared and neglected child, this book is difficult to listen to.

This is such a sad and devastating story. But it's very well written and I'm so glad the writer is opening people's eyes to the nasty things that go on behind closed doors.

shows how easy our children can be manipulated , my heart goes out to you and I'm so glad you got justice as you say these men are still out there right under our noses and it terrifies me how vulnerable our children are. our children are the most precious gift and they rely on the adults around them to help them feel safe.
Well done for sticking at it.

A heartbreaking listen but couldn't stop listening as I needed to hear your journey till the end.
