About this listen

Nutrition is essential to living a healthy, happy, and successful life. Yet a world of misconceptions and promises of easy results too often stands in our way - and can even be harmful to our overall health.

The key is to cut through the noise and find the medically backed, statistically proven information about healthy eating and living. These 36 in-depth lectures explore the fundamentals of good nutrition and offer a practical guide for applying these fundamentals to your lifestyle. The power of nutrition lies not just in grasping the concepts behind it, but also in applying those concepts to daily living. This means learning where to find authoritative nutrition information, mastering the science behind nutrients and the body, recognizing what your personal daily requirements of each nutrient should be, building a distinct exercise regimen, and more.

A dietitian and award-winning lecturer, Professor Anding gives you a wealth of invaluable tips you can easily apply to your own eating habits. You'll learn how to calculate your own dietary needs, how to create your own nutrition and exercise plans, how to recognize when a product or service is really a health fraud, and more.

Crafted with the needs of individual people in mind, this course is both a fascinating learning experience and the perfect investment in your personal health - one that will educate you, motivate you, and reward you for the rest of your life.

Really good book and would recommend to anyone who wants to know about nutrition. Very happy with the content.

Would you listen to Nutrition Made Clear again? Why?

Have listened twice as there is a lot of information to process.

What about Professor Roberta H. Anding’s performance did you like?

No nonsense delivery, facual with enough science to keep me interested. A really comprehensive introduction to nutrition.

Any additional comments?

Irritating that the accompanying 'work-book' referred to in the lectures is not available, It's pretty impossible to remember all the information and would be good to have reference material

Excellent!

This course is mainly addressed to the part of the American society that is overweight and generally uneducated on nutrition and exercise. That said, it contains a lot of useful information. I wish it were 50% shorter and dedicated more time to actual nutrition information, rather than to making a sensible and sustainable plan to lose 80 pounds of the 120 lbs one needs to lose. I understand there is a need for the latter, but a) then the title of the course is misleading and b) the people who need a weight-loss plan the most are less likely to listen to a course on "nutrition" than to a "weight management" course. Anyway, there are good bits (I just wish the author hadn't rushed through them) and you can skip the chapters that you find too basic or boring.

Aimed at overweight Americans but still contains lots of useful info

Roberta Anding enthusiastically delivers a very interesting set of lectures on nutrition. All the information provided is evidence-based, and this can be little uncomfortable at times as the Author is old school when it comes to counting calories and exercise.

Fact packed guide to nutrition
