This dark alien romance was entertaining and fun. I'm new to the genre and Olympia Black's writing is easy to listen to/read, grabbing and keeping my attention. The duet narration by Bridget Bordeaux and Jake Bordeaux was fantastic. The MCs were interesting, had me melting from the heat, and invested in their story.

So this was a bit of a weird one - but that might just be me.

It was this insta-love, one minute she is the one, the next minute, all must go on.

I only got halfway then it became too annoying for me…

Our heroine was stolen from Earth aged eight. The tale of her journey and deeds to survive are the main plot. One of her main roles is to be a sex object and some joinings with alien males could be fatal. Several pivotal points seemed very fortuitous, which is why not the full five stars. I liked the exploration of the theme of freedom and free will. Despite explicit scenes in detail and repeatedly, there is a strong current of morality in the main characters.

The dual narration by male and female couple was very effective and added to ease of listening.

This is a first for me, aliens spice, it’s a dystopian style listen, spice is high but there are a few triggers that some may not like.
Defo worth a listen, team Bordeaux make it sooooo worth it!
